LTE Physical Channel Structure

Downlink pyhysical channel dan downlink physical signal di tunjukan sebagai berikut :

Downlink physical channel membawa informasi dari layer 2 tetapi Downlink physical signal hanya membawa informasi dari layer 1 (physical layer)
Downlink physical channels :
  • Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH)
    • carrier dari DL-SCH dan PCH, DL-SCH memuat data actual user data 
  • Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH)
    • menginformasikan UE tentang alokasi resource dari PCH and DL-SCH, dan HARQ informasi yg berhubungan dengan DL-SCH
    • carrier dari uplink scheduling grant
  • Physical HARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH)
    • carrier ACK/NACKs dalam response ke transmission uplink 
  • Physical Control Format Indicator Channel (PCFICH)
    • menginformasikan UE tentang number dari OFDM symbol yang digunakan untuk PDCCH yg di trasmisikan pada tiap subframe
  • Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH)
    • blok dari code BCH transport di mappingkan ke  empat subframe dengan masing2 interfal 40 ms
Downlink physical signals:
  • - Reference signal
  • - Synchronization signal (P-SS and S-SS)

Uplink physical channel dan Uplink physical signal di gambarkan sebagai berikut:

Uplink physical channel membawa informasi layer 2 (data link) tetapi Uplink physical channel hanya di gunakan pada layer 1 (physical layer)

Uplink physical channels and uplink physical signals are as follows. Uplink physical channels carries layer 2 information but uplink physical signals are only used by the physical layer.

Uplink physical channel:
  • Physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)
    • carrier dari UL-SCH, ACK/NACK dan CQI . UL-SCH memuat data actual data user
  • Physical Uplink control channel (PUCCH)
    • carrier ACK/NACKs dalam respon ke Downlink Transmission, laporan Carrier CQI (Channel Quality dan  Indicator) SR (Scheduling Request)
  • Physical random acces channel (PRACH)
    •  carrier random access preamble
Uplink physical signals:
  • - Demodulation reference signal (UL-RS), associated with transmission of PUSCH and PUCCH.
  • - Sounding reference signal (SRS), not associated with transmission of PUSCH and PUCCH.
